Demiromantic
A demiromantic person experiences romantic attraction only after a trusting emotional relationship has already been established with another person. Demiromantic is often placed within the asexual and aromantic spectrum and describes not whether a person wants romance in general, but when romantic attraction can arise.
The term is understood and experienced differently by different people. Not every demiromantic person experiences romantic attraction in the same way or in every relationship. As with other identity terms, self-identification is what matters most. 03/25
