Femboy
Femboy is usually a self-chosen term for people, often men or AMAB people, who present in a distinctly feminine way. This may involve clothing, makeup, hairstyle, body language, voice, aesthetics, or gendered roles. The term primarily describes gender presentation or style and is not automatically a gender identity in itself.
A femboy may be cis, trans, non-binary, or have another gender identity. The term also does not indicate sexual orientation, romantic orientation, or sexual preferences. Some people use it playfully or as an empowering label, while others find it unsuitable or overly sexualized, especially because it is sometimes used in fetishizing ways in online and porn contexts.
Respectful use means applying the term only to people who use it for themselves or have agreed to it. Feminine presentation does not make a person less male, automatically female, or automatically queer. What matters is self-description, consent, and a non-derogatory approach to gender expression.
