Spectroromantic

Spectroromantic refers to a romantic orientation in which a person feels romantic and emotional attraction to people whose gender lies on a gender spectrum beyond a strictly binary division. The term is mainly used in queer contexts and can help describe romantic attraction to women and/or non-binary people, or more generally to people outside the binary gender framework, more precisely. It refers to romantic attraction and should not be confused with sexual orientation.

As with other orientations, the self-label can be understood and lived differently from person to person. Some people use the term to describe their attraction more precisely, while others use it to distinguish themselves from exclusively binary categorizations. Spectroromantic is an identity description and not a statement about specific sexual practices or preferences.
